About Nolan Collaborative
Nolan Collaborative is a full-service video editing, motion graphics, post production, and video production company. Jeff Nolan leads the team with fifteen years of experience editing TV commercials, corporate videos, short films, and web-based content as well as filming interviews, events, and products. We have a beautiful studio located in Chicago in River North at 213 W Institute Place. Our studio is a great place to meet and work on editing and motion graphics, and we have additional resources for film production and color correction onsite. We can expand and contract based on the needs of the project which allows us to manage budgets much better than larger overly staffed companies.
Before starting the company, Jeff worked for ten years at Avenue Edit in Chicago, which was one of the largest and best post-production facilities in Chicago. He worked with Leo Burnett, FCB, Ogilvy, and Mather (to name a few) on hundreds of TV commercials, videos, and films.
Nolan Collaborative has continued to grow and adapt to the changing market for ten years now and is designed for the future and evolving world of video content creation and editing. We can now do editing anywhere; at the studio in River North or on location with clients. Chicago, Illinois is home base and where we do the majority of the work. But projects have taken us all over the country. We also have clients in Los Angeles and New York. Advancements in the internet and bandwidth have allowed us to work anywhere and with anyone.
We are always changing with new technologies. We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of new technologies and new techniques and continually challenge ourselves to find new ways to improve possibilities for our clients. Technology is leading to many new ways to improve the quality of work while at the same time lowering costs.
The Nolan Collaborative Difference
We like to create an experience that is easy and personal for our clients. Every project is very different, and we understand that many of our clients do not make videos every day. We also understand how important these videos are for them. So we help them move through the process easily and with a very personal approach. When working on a project, you have our attention.
One aspect that makes us second to none is Jeff Nolan’s excellent reputation in Chicago as an exceptional film editor. Jeff has a vast background in storytelling through pictures and has helped dozens of companies get their message out and improve their bottom line. Nolan Collaborative also has a special knack for handling budgets and creating exceptional work with even modest budgets. Advancements in technology and twenty years of experience make that possible.
What sets us apart from the rest of our competitors is our exceptional modern video editing which helps tell our client’s story better and get attention. This as well as exceptional management of budgets to ‘put the money on the screen’. Being a small company, they can be assured of always getting direct attention. When they call or email us, we answer and can help. Many large companies have a problem where clients get lost in the shuffle, not us.
When it comes to laurels, we believe one of our biggest achievements has been the ten years of success in Chicago. But some of our most noteworthy work has been featured in TV commercials for brands like Coca-Cola, Nintendo, JC Penney. We also did a short film called ‘Odd Shoe’ that toured around the world and won many awards. We’ve had the chance to collaborate with artists like Nick Cave and Anke Loh for several art films.
We have won a Telly award for an interview with documentary filmmaker Errol Morris. We even won a Windy Award with advertising agency Tom, Dick and Harry.
We also believe in giving back to society, and as part of that belief, we make sure a portion of our time is allocated to philanthropic work and volunteering. We did work with the Gates Foundation to help in the eradication of Polio efforts. We’ve donated our time for projects like ‘We Need to Read.org’ to help promote reading. We also created an extensive video for Chicago Bike Buddies to help teach new Chicago cyclists about safe riding.
